Martina

has been with the team at POP since early 2017.

Martina is priced as a Level 3 Stylist in all areas - haircuts - including curls - and colour / highlights. She has more experience - also as a salon manager - and therefore she is in charge at POP, when Mark is away.

Her english is excellent and her hair skills superb. Martina delivers mens and womens haircuts, colours and highlights with outstanding friendliness and confidence.

One of her clients recently wrote this about her: "Martina is amazing. She considers wavy hairs and treat them well. I have been POP’s customer for last 4 years and am not even thinking of trying any different hairdresser."

I have lots of very straight long hair and she is excellent at coloring, cutting and blow drying it. Recently I asked her to cut it short and was delighted with her choice of style. Tetyana

is a Level 2 Stylist available for all kinds of haircuts, colour and highlights. She also feels comfortable styling hair for events and working with curls.

Tetyana already has some years experience as a hairdresser and therefore quickly adapted to her new surrounding at POP, where she embraced new techniques and product ranges and continues to develop her skills.

Her first 5 star review reads in part:"Tetyana gave me a perfect cut so I came back a few days later for highlights."

Tetyana speaks her native Ukrainian, but is fluent in both Czech and English

Angelina

is currently enjoying maternity leave and time with her daughter. We wish her all the best and presume she will join the team again - probably on a part time base - at some point in the future.

One of the lovely reviews Angelina received reads: "I finally managed to find a hairdresser with whom I am 100% satisfied. Angelina thank you so much . A new salon with a beautiful environment, a very pleasant and skilled hairdresser who cares about her work and does precise work. I definitely recommend it."

And more recently this quote also came with a 5 star review about her highlighting and colouring: "(Translated by Google) I didn't know what I wanted, but Angelina figured it out :) the first hairdresser in years where I was satisfied and I want to go back."

Iryna

offers Men's and Woman's haircuts, colour and highlights priced as a Level 2 Stylist.

Iryna speaks her native Ukrainian, whilst her Czech and her English are improving. She also enjoys styling hair, so try her for a party or an event.

Her first 5 star review said in short "Highly recommended!", whilst others read in part: "Iryna took wonderful care of me." or "great experience! She knows exactly how to work with curly hair, and I’m so happy with how my hair turned out."

The most recent review states:"I was amazed by Iryna's work on my hair today. Not only did she fulfill my expectations but she also encouraged the naturalness of my hair structure. I also appreciated the fact that I felt relaxed the entire time."

Mark

Like POP-music, or POP-art, we want to be a POP-ular hair salon, so it makes me happy to see the team thrive.

As the owner I see myself as team leader, so I'm responsible for the overall quality and your experience at POP.

Personally I see myself more as a craftsman with a systematic, solution orientated approach to cut and colour, utilising many years of experience to help you with your everyday hair issues.

We do LOVE what we do and if you're happy with your hair please SHOUT IT OUT into the world!

However we are not perfect and sometimes there are misunderstandings, in which case please, tell me about it first. Sometimes it's an easy fix.

Antonin

has been part of the POP team since the very beginning. He is priced as a Level 3 Stylist in all areas; confident with Men's and Women's haircuts - including curls - and a skilled colourist with a very good feeling for colour corrections.

He speaks excellent english and has been a stylist for around 15 years. He is also the team member who enjoys classic upstyles most, so ask for him to style your hair on special occasions.

One of his clients wrote this about him: "Wonderful consultation and recommendations followed by top notch color and highlights. Thank you Antonin for reviving my hair!"

But quite recent is this review: "On a whim I decided to get my hair cut in Prague. I did a quick search for salons that can work with curly hair. POP salon seemed to be the place and Antonin was able to schedule me for an appointment. I am so happy I went. My hair feels light, fresh and updated. He did a great job discussing what should be done, asking If I have questions or suggestions and then clipped away. He did a wonderful job on my curly hair, refreshing my look and steering me away from that triangular look that sometimes happens when curly hair starts to grow out. I only speak English and his was impeccable. He was lovely to chat with and even better at cutting/ styling my hair. Thank you!"

Yasaka Scissors

are our weapon of choice at POP.

Yasaka is a traditional Japanese steel company making high quality scissors in Japan for over 50 years.

I've been using Yasaka scissors since 1993 and although I've tried other brands in between I keep coming back to Yasaka. The quality level / value for money balance is excellent and for most of my work I only use one pair.

At POP we don't use thinning scissors, which is also why we don't sell them, but there are so many creative texturing techniques for which these scissors are superb; you won't need anything else.
